Setting Up Two Factor Authentication
Google Authenticator for Binance
A Google Authenticator is a type of two factor authentication that applies an additional layer of security to your account. The idea behind a two factor authenticator is that even if somebody had access to your password, they would need an additional code from a private external device to hack into your account. The most popular two factor authenticators are SMS texts and the Google Authenticator. We prefer using the Google Authenticator because you never have to wait for your authentication code whereas sometimes SMS texts get delayed or need to be resent. Both methods work well but we will show you how to set up and use a Google Authenticator.
